1. What are the directions from the airport to the hotel?

Take the H1 freeway to Nimitz Highway to Ala Moana Boulevard then on to Kalakaua Avenue. Turn right on Kalakaua Avenue then left on Kaiulani Avenue, address: 120 Kaiulani Avenue.

2. Do you have a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport?

No; however we do offer the Starwood Express Shuttle to/from the Honolulu International Airpot (HNL) to all four Starwood properties in Waikiki. The fee for the shared ride is $30.00 roundtrip and $16.00 one-way. All services must be pre-arranged 24 hours prior to arrival/departure. Click here to reserve your seat.

3. How much does it cost to get to/from the airport by taxi or shuttle?

4.How long does it take to get to/from the airport?

With taxi it would take approximately 25-45 minutes.  On a shuttle it would take approximately 35 minutes to an hour. Traffic conditions will vary your arrival time.

5. Do you have valet parking?

No, however we do offer convenient self-parking which is adjacent to the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. On arrival, we recommend guests leave their luggage at our porte cochere and then self park.  Guests are recommended to park on the 3rd and 4th floor in Ainahau Tower for easy elevator access.

6. What is the cost for daily parking?

Our daily resort charge includes self-parking for one (1) vehicle for hotel guests only. Additional vehicles is currently $25.00 per day, self parking, for hotel guests. Motorcycle and mopeds is currently $5.00 per day for hotel guests. Parking rate subject to change without notice.

7. Do you allow over-sized vehicles in your parking structure?

No, our parking facility allows a 6'6" clearance thus over size parking stalls are not available. Please take this into consideration while making your travel plans.

8. When was the hotel built?

The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani was built in 1955, and has 3 buildings: Kaiulani Wing, Princess Wing, and the Ainahau Tower.

9. What is a resort charge? How much is a resort charge?

Sheraton Princess Kaiulani charges a daily Resort Charge posted to each guestroom to offer our guests an array of generous amenities and services for a nominal all-inclusive fee.

It includes high-speed Internet access in guest room and use of the Link@Sheraton, self-parking for one (1) vehicle (no valet), unlimited local and 1-800 telephone calls per day (cumulative of both domestic and international calls), two (2) 12 oz. bottles of water in room per day, children 5 & under eat for free from Children’s Menu at Pikake Terrace Restaurant with paying adult (one paying adult per one child), Big Kahuna Beach Services, a Collections of Waikiki savings booklet, one free portrait session and 4" x 8" keepsake by a professional photographer. 10. What is the square footage of rooms?

Depending on the Wing, square footage ranges from 200 to 348 (includes balcony).  Suites start at 735 square feet.

11. How many people are allowed per room?

A maximum of 4 people is allowed in each guest room.

12. Do all rooms have a balcony (lanai)?

All rooms have balconies (lanais) with the exception of our City Side rooms.

13. What is included in the rooms?

Each room is equipped with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, either two double or one king size bed; air conditioning, a room safe, telephone, balcony/lanai (except City Side), color/cable TV with remote, refrigerator, ice bucket, drinking glasses, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, Shine bath amenities, towels, coffee maker, selection of flavorful Kona coffee and Tazo teas.

15. Are in-room safes/safety deposit boxes available?

Yes, we have both an in room safe and a safety deposit box available at the front desk. The in room safes are complimentary. The safety deposit box at the front desk is accessible 24 hours a day and is also complimentary.

16. Are rooms equipped with coffee makers?

Yes, we do have a coffee maker in all rooms. We offer regular and decaffeinated Kona coffee as well as Tazo teas.

17. Are there coin operated laundry facilities available?

Yes, the hotel has coin operated laundry facilities located in the basement. There are four (4) washers and four (4) dryers on a first come, first served basis that are available 24 hours, seven days a week. The cost is presently $3.00 per wash and $3.00 per dry. Detergent and other items may have a nominal fee. Prices subject to change without notice.

18. Do your rooms come with breakfast?

No, but we do have room service available. Room service is available for breakfast from 6am - 11am. We also offer the option to order Room Service Amenities through our concierge desk.

19. Does your hotel offer newspaper?

Sheraton Princess Kaiulani offers both the local Star Advertiser newspaper and the Wall Street Journal. Both are located in the lobby next to the bell desk.

We have 13 ADA rooms; one (1) in our Princess Luxury Room, four (4) in our Partial Ocean View, and eight (8) in our Tower Ocean View.

21. Where are the smoking areas on property?

The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is a smoke free property. The guest smoking area is on Kaiulani Avenue, where we have a smoking post.

We valued our loyal Starwood Preferred Guest members.  All SPG members may receive a percentage discount on dining locations at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, Westin Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, and the Sheraton Waikiki.  Certain restrictions apply.  Gold and Platinum members may receive more benefits.  Speak to our front desk for more details.

24. Are late check outs offered?

Late check out is based on availability at time of inquiry. There is a fee of $15 per hour plus taxes after 11 a.m.  After 6pm we charge a full day room rate.

Yes, we have our Olakino Fitness Center Powered By Core Performance located on the 2nd floor in the Ainahau Tower. The fitness center is accessible by guest elevators, staircase, and escalators.

Yes, we have ATM machines available on property. One is located in the hotel lobby next to the travel desk. The second is located outside in the main courtyard, adjacent to the Honolulu Coffee Company.

29. Can I use other hotel facilities at the Starwood sister properties?

Most of our sister properties' facilities at the Westin Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, and the Sheraton Waikiki are accessible. We do offer the option to "Stay at One, Dine at All", where guests may enjoy the dining options at the sister properties and be able to sign back those charges to their room. Unfortunately, pool usage is not permitted due to limited capacities.

31. Where is The Fourever Fab Show and MYTH, Hidden Legends of Hawaii?

Located on the 2nd floor of the Ainahau Tower. Accessible via guest elevators, staircase, and escalators. Both Fourever Fab and Myth offers dinner packages starting at 8:30 p.m. Prices and times are subject to change.

33. Are there any good steak and seafood restaurants?

The Beachhouse at the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, Azure Restaurant at the Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, and Kai Market at the Sheraton Waikiki offers a fine selection of steak and seafood specialties. You may also dine at any of these restaurants and charge it back to your room with the Stay at One, Dine at All option.

34. What is there to do on property?

Sheraton Princess Kaiulani offers an array of daily Hawaiian activities that our guests may participate in. These daily cultural activities takes place in our lobby, and are complimentary to our guests.  Activities include lei making, hula lessons, fish feeding, Hawaiian quilting, keiki arts and crafts, and more. Yes, if you wish to have connecting rooms during your stay we recommend you to call our Reservations Center at (808) 921-4630 for this perference.  The fee is $25 per day per room.

42. What are some nearby attractions? Is there tennis or golf nearby?

We are located near Waikiki Shell, Waikiki Aquarium, the Honolulu Zoo, and Kapiolani Park, which has a tennis court. Ala Moana Park also has a tennis court. For golf locations, see our Tour and Activity Desk for more information on golf packages and to set tee times.

44. What are the hours for Pearl Harbor attractions?

The visitor center is open daily from 6:30am.-5:30pm. The memorial is closed Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1. Time programs to the memorial starts at 8:00am. and run through 3:00pm. daily. Due to strict security policies, the memorial does not allow any purses, handbags, fanny packs, backpacks, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage and/or other items that offer concealment.
