Let the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani hotel entertain you with Starwood Hawaii’s Flavors of Island Music; a campaign that highlights the entertainers and sounds of the Hawaiian Islands. The following musicians are just a few who perform poolside at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani hotel:
Sam Kapu III
Sam Kapu is the forth generation of Hawaiian musicians. His first album “Sam Kapu III”, released on Bluewater Records, gained notoriety when it was nominated for two Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in 1994 (“Best New Artist of the Year” and “Best Contemporary Album of the Year”).
Ka`ala Boys
The Ka`ala Boys are widely recognized as one of the leading reggae bands on the island. This dynamic group just recently returned from a tour through China to promote their music and beautiful island home. Although the band has seen the coming and going of members throughout the years, today’s group is composed of George “Keoki” Van Blyenburg on the ukulele, Eric Ho on bass, and Derick Lee on guitar. The Ka`ala Boys have released five albums to date.
Tangi Tully
Tangi Tully’s family in Tahiti consists of notable song writers and musicians responsible for many of the early recordings of Tahitian music including his mother who came to Hawaii in the 1950’s as a featured Tahitian Dancer and singer. Starting in 1984, Tully followed in his family’s footsteps working his way through local clubs and the venues in Waikiki. Tully still performs regularly in Waikiki and abroad. He is also very much involved with Producing Shows for Japan and working with new talent.
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is proud to highlight Hawaii’s entertainers at the lava rock stage from 6:15 – 9:30 p.m. nightly. For more information, please call the hotel at (808) 922-5811.
