Momoyama's New Sake Menu

HONOLULU, HAWAII— Momoyama, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s hidden treasure, invites guests to get connected with the alluring flavors of Japan’s signature beverage, sake.  Momoyama outlet manager Allen King has searched through the many regions of Japan to bring Waikiki one of the best sake menus offered. For more information or reservations, please call Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki Central Dining Desk at (808) 921-4600.

Following are the sakes being offered on the menu:
Kubota Sake Hekiju – With its floral aroma, this cold sake from Nigata yields a robust and voluminous flavor.

Hakkaisan – An easy sake for anyone to drink, Haakaisan from Nigata, is made using the original brewing process.

Shichiken – From Yamanashi, this sake is initially light and bitter, yet its smooth aftertaste leaves guests wanting more.

Otokoyama – A very dry sake, Otokoyama from Hokkaido, offers a sharp, rich and full-bodied taste.

Echigo Tsurukame - Named for symbols of long life, this Nigata sake is smooth with a subtle oak barrel scent.

Okunomatsu – From Fukushima, Okunomatsu is favored among women for its fruity and light Koji flavor.

Dassai Nigori – This seasonal and specialty sake from Yamaguchi is semi-dry and full of flavor.

In addition to the variety of sake added to the menu, Momoyama has also included two new Shochu.  Kuroisanishiki, from Kagoshima, is rich in sweet potato and very smooth, and the mellow tasting Kumesen from Okinawa, is an “Awamori,” Japan’s oldest distilled liquor.

Opened nightly for dinner from 5:45 to 9:30 p.m., Momoyama offers authentic Japanese food featuring an extensive selection of sushi, appetizers and entrees.  For parties of eight or more, a 17% gratuity will be added automatically.  Validated parking for cars parked in the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s parking garage is available.
